Larry-
You have an 8.8", commonly referred to as an "8.8"" It is not at all like the
8",
commonly referred to as an "8" ". Nor is it like the 9", which is very similar
to
the 8". Both the 8" & 9" have removable center sections, commonly referred to
as "
drop out pumpkins". The 8.8" is a lot like the late MGB axle, in that it has a
rear
cover, & the center section is not removable as a unit.
Your junk man is more common than my recycler.
All of which still does not tell you how to remove the axle.
