Looks like someone's in the market for a new wiring harness.... :-(

I don't think I would want to try to fix the harness after it's been 
mickey-moused. Sorry, but I think you're just going to have to get a 
new one. If you're having an electrical fire because of faulty 
wiring, I would say it's time!
