Sounds like the '65 b needs just about everything done or shall I say
redone. It would cost you roughly $6000 (at least) to PROPERLY restore the
car, if you do most of the work yourself. You would then have $7250 invested
in a car worth probably $5000. I believe it is a far better deal to buy the
best car you can find, and spend the $5000 up front. Or buy this car for
$500 and do it right yourself. Good luck, and don't ever get too emotional
about a classic car purchase. There are PLENTY of marginal MGB's out there
for you to choose from.
