Starter/Heat Shield

Rover 3.5 - MGB Roadster conversion
I have just received a Weber Mini HY Tork Starter #810164 from D & D and
installed it. Between the headers (from TSI) which are ceramic coated and
the starter there is 1 3/8" of space. Do I need a heat shield?
