Hello list!

Well, I have been lurking for a year plus on both the MGS and MGB-V8 lists,
gathering much information. I am getting close to having pieces to do my V8
conversion, but it will be another year before I pull the 4cyl. BUT, this
winter I am doing the 1st few steps which is convert the car from wires to
4lug and a full suspension & brake rebuild.

That has brought me a few questions........

1. Rear axle, I know and have parts to fix the std pinion slop, but how can
I tell if it needs a full blown rebuild with all new seals bearings etc? I
will be pushing 250+hp & 250+ft/lbs into it and don't want to find out to
late that it has a worn bearing or such..

2. I rebuilt the fron bushings last spring, but recently I have noticed
that the car drift left when I hit rough surfaces at speed on highway. It
almost feels like the nose of the car rises a touch and she starts going
left like changing lanes..

3. Brakes, how often do you folks rebuild your brake cylanders or do you
just buy new cylanders/calipers? I am interested in rebuilding things
rather than buy new, I got the car to work on not just buy new parts for
it..

Thanks folks!! I know I will have a ton more questions, but I will try to
keep them under control.

Larry
