on my 71 MGB I am running 245ZR45-16 front and rear. I narrowed a 82
corvette rear suspension and enlarged the wheel wells inside the car. I am
using 16X8 rims from a camero.

I can believe the 225's in front, as there is lots of room there. I had a
set of
205/60/14's on 7" rims on my first V8 roadster, & it looked like I had
lots of
room to spare in front.
Not so in the rear. The biggest I have actually seen was 215/60/14's on 7"
rims
in the rear. It may be that 15" rims place the tire in a more advantageous
location, but to have any room at all for lateral movement- no pan hard
rod- I
had to do the baseball bat flare on the fender & apply the very large
calibration hammer to the area of the rear axle bump stop just to fit my
205's.
This was with a narrower wire wheel C axle & small spacers to place the
wheel in
the best possible location.
I would really like to see "how it was done" as Kurt would write in the
Newsletter.
