Rich-

Just about any Chevy 4 or 5 speed from 70's or earlier(?) through the Camero T-5
5-speed 1984 through 1992.
The T-5 is the most common swap tranny at this time. The later T-56 6-speed will
work, but a lot of hacking on the trans tunnel of a MGB to make it fit.

The easiest to fit is the old T-50 from Monza's & Nova's mid to late 70's, but
not as strong as the T-50 & an odd shift pattern.

Most, if not all, of the 5-/6-speeds have an aluminum case, the earlier 4-speeds
are out of my narrow range of knowledge.

The bellhousing is a direct fit to the Rover block, but a spacer may be required
for some combinations, as the later Rover cranks are slightly longer in the
rear. A custom pilot bush will be required, but that is not a big deal, contact
D & D.

All this & more is well covered in the V-8 Newsletter. Contact Kurt for a
package of back issues. Get a link to the newsletter & other resources from my
web page http: //mgbv8.com/
