I just ran across a web site where there are several 1960 magazine articles covering GM's "new" all alluminum 215 V8 - including cutaway diagrams etc. It is interesting that even back then, "Sports Cars Illustrated" was predicting that the engine would be swapped in to a lot of imported sports cars because of it's good power output combined with light weight and compact dimensions -- they even superimpose a drawing of an MGA engine over a drawing of a 215. Here is the link, go to the Skylark section and click on the magazine articles section. http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Track/2508/ Kevin Brown '64 MGB '71 MGB '63 Buick 185 Hp 215 '74 TR6 '76 TR6 '89 MR2 Odessa, MO |
