According to Kurt Schley the Dept. Transportation did certify the MGB GT V8 for the USA. The prototypes were tested, certified and then sent back to the UK (Lyle Yorks is one of these) British Leyland simply had no desire to market the car in the USA and dropped the project. Robin |
