My 'B is black. Even though matching engine bay and body is the
correct show car/restoration/whatever thing to do, I hate working
on an engine in a black engine bay! I painted my bay an aluminum
silver, and it actually looks pretty good. We've also got a white
'68 MGB autocrosser with a blue engine bay and a blue chin. (Like
the factory Sebring cars with BRG bodies and different colour
front valances.)
Our Spec RX-7 is black, and my fiancee wants blue racing strips. I'm
considering painting my '75 B's engine bay and chin blue to match.

Depends on how good you are with bodywork. If you are a decent fab guy,
or, as in my case, have a friend who is, the RB fenders can be moded
into CB fenders.
