Subject: [Mg-t] Paint Protection Film for T Series?
To All
Having just finished new paint on an MG TD MKII and struggling with the
install of top and side curtains without damaging the new paint (as well as
hood opening, etc) I was wondering what kind of reception T owners might
give to a kit of clear plastic paint protection film made specifically for T
Series?
I have seen this stuff demonstrated and most of you have seen it on your
newer cars. While it can be seen if looked for, it detracts little from
appearance and it protects paint from chips and scratches.
Being an automotive writer, I know some folks at 3M and muquiar's (where
they make the best quality paint protection films) and I was going to put
this on my list of things to talk to them about. But to talk intelligently,
I need to have a handle on how many people might compromise 100% originality
to keep a $5000 to $10,000 paint job looking good for years and years.
Any feedback will be appreciated.
