Try it again:
Spring is in the air (although, as I write this we're getting ready for
first real snowstorm of the season) and the lbc's will be coming out of
hibernation. The CCBCC Head Honcho, a/k/a, Paul Hinchcliffe, and I are
of a mind that it would be a great time to cast a critical look at
member's cars in hopes of staving off any unforeseen incidents.
What we're hoping to emulate is a car inspection along the lines of the
Safety Fast Inspection of the NEMGTR as performed by Rick Smith at
GOF's. It's noted that the T-Register's Safety Fast form is
copyrighted, so we can't very well just use it without incurring some
wrath. So, what I'm hoping to do is to gather up a number of existing
safety inspection procedures that may be out there. I'm hoping that
there are some of you out there who would be willing to share what you
have along these lines. I'll promise to share the results with everyone
who sends a contribution to me. You can send it to me by email at
admin@ttalk.info , or you can send it by mail to Bud Krueger, 46 Summer
Street, Plymouth MA, 02360. This edition should be arriving around the
1st of March, so that should give enough time for me to correlate the
results and present at least a digest version of them in April's
Marque. I will also open a new page on the ttalk website (
http://www.ttalk.info/ ) devoted to this topic. Just opened it, it's
called www.ttalk.info/SafetyFast.htm.
Our intent is to start this going for T-series cars. However, we do
recognize that our Tcars do represent a minority in the realm of CCBCC
and we do wish to share our concerns for safety with owners of other
marques. After we get this kicked off we'll be looking for procedures
for you other folks.
