Great story Craig, I lived in Pittsburgh with my MGA, then TC from 1960 to
1972....then like a dummy sold the TC before moving to California.
In 1957, I part won a TD in a college poker game. It too had a bad
cylinder.....collapsed piston/broken rings. Didn't have the money for a new
piston but
replaced the rings every fall plus lots of oil and drove it until I graduated
and traded it on the MGA coupe in 1960........the off to Westinghouse in Pgh
with my new bride!!
