TD side curtain door retaining straps

Hi T people

Can someone with an original TD tell me the correct placement for the straps
that hold the side curtain compartment door closed? I have seen then in line
with the spare wheel carrier retaining bolts and also  further outboard. What
would be nice is if you can give me the measurement from the inside of the
wheel arch to the outside edge of the strap.
