The first problem is that technically there are no such things as 52 or 
53 TDs.  Seriously, MG did not specify model years.  At about Car No. 
13914, in Feb. 52, the original oil pressure gauge was superseded by the 
combination oil pressure and water temperature gauge.  This gauge 
remained unchanged through the rest of the TD line.  There were separate 
oil pressure and water temperature gauges available before this combo 
gauge.  Gauges used with chronometric instruments (tachometer and 
speedometer) are different from those used with magnetic instruments.
