The tach gearbox on our SA Tickford (different gear ratio than TC's and 
later) quit working last summer.  I drilled out the rivets and found that the 
gears 
had just become disengaged.  I forget what I did to fix it but it seems to be 
working now.  Just use nuts and screws to refastening the two pieces together.
