[Roger D. Thompson] Larry,

Did you copy the Team Net MGT list on this also? Members there may also be
interested in the CD-ROM.

Update on the NEMGTR CD-ROM project

My contact for this project is Hank Rippert, Chairman of the New England MGT
Register. Hank has done the heavy lifting, investing
hundreds of hours in readying over 7,500 pages of The Sacred Octagon for
CD-ROM. It is clear Hank wants this project to succeed.

On 21 September, Hank informed me that approximately 75 CD-ROM's have been
ordered and pre-paid. To go ahead with the project, 250
CD-ROM's must be ordered and pre-paid. In the October issue of The Sacred
Octagon, Hank will report on this progress and describe
that the order deadline has been extended from the end of September to the end
of October

Based on e-mail requests I sent order forms to 32 people. Of these, 9 were
recognizable non-US requesters. Few people from outside
the US have opted to pre-pay, as the cost of submitting a check in US currency
is prohibitive.

The CD-ROM may be ordered now for $89 US. (This price is only guaranteed if
you pre-pay for the CD-ROM.) If the project goes
forward, the CD-ROM will be offered for sale at $99. I encourage those who
haven't ordered the CD-ROM to consider doing so at this
time and not assume that the CD-ROM will automatically be available in the
future

I believe all the orders have been by individuals. Hank and I brainstormed
whether companies like Moss Motors, Abingdon Spares,
Brown & Gammons, Anglo Parts, and others would pre-buy some number of CD-ROM's,
for example, 15 each. This could help meet the
minimum order and provide a distribution mechanism to non-US enthusiasts.

Also, companies may help underwrite the project and have the opportunity to
place an advertisement or their catalog in a section of
the CD-ROM.

I'm sure there are other ideas for generating the revenue to proceed with the
project. Demands on my time are such that I can't
undertake the marketing of the CD-ROM. Hank Rippert is in the same boat (or is
it tub?). We are very interested in ideas you have
so that the project can go forward. If you have suggestions or can help out,
please contact me via e-mail

Thank you

Larry
