td/tf brakes

hello
can anyone help me with information re: right/left or/and top bottom brake
cylinders.I am rebuilding my tf and remembered a discussio some time ago about
some folks who accidentally put the (i think it was the cylinders) on wrong
handed and it caused poor brake performance.
