Thanks to all for the help. I whacked the speedo on the way to work this AM and
it sprang back to life right off. This is why I took the for sale sign off of
it and took it for a couple of days to exercise it.

The TD speedo cable connects on right side of gearbox, just slightly
below the plywood floorboard. There is a cut-out area of the plywood to
give clearance at the connection. The cable itself is an ordinary
looking cable.
