Advice from the experts (again)
The slow engine adjusting cable to the dash has been completely removed and
only the knob remains (with 1/4 inch of what appears to be a broken cable).
What was this adjustment used for, and if I was to replace it can you explain
where does it connect and how.
While on this subject another question. The cold start jet levers appear to
open properly when the choke cable is pulled, but the throttle shafts do not
turn. The result, starts at cold but no revs, and have to sit using the
accelerator to stay in the warm-up range. Would cut out otherwise. Is this how
the SU carbs normally work, because on a Healey with HD6 SU carbs the opening
of the jet levers also opens the throttle. Is the slow engine control the
method of giving it some juice on starting??
