Need some help, please. What is the original color/configuration of the ID,
Body and patent plates on a TD?
Mine are all brass.
1) The patent plate was blackened with the lettering (engraving) showing
brass.
2) The ID plate was brass and the letters were black
3) The Body Type plate was brass and the letters were black
I am thinking about replacing mine since the brass is badly scratched and
all the blackening has disappeared. However, received a set from Abingdon
Spares, all plates were CHROME and the lettering was not blackened on the ID
and Body Plate. Did these ID plates come in either brass or chrome or is
BRASS the only true original?
