The generator on my TD is probably running on borrowed time (It's the original
unit!). I just had to replace the water pump and the starter, so the writing's
on the wall. I'd like to replace it with an alternator, but there's the
problem of driving the tach. Has anyone worked out a way of doing this that
doesn't involve ownership in a machine shop?
