All of the information I can find on voltage regulator
settings says they should be set at about 14.5 volts. The
14 volts may be too low especially with an older battery and
the use of lights. Periodically check the battery's acid
specific gravity and if it seems to be going down then the
battery is gradually loosing charge. Or, put a charger on
the battery now and then. If the charger doesn't go into
"sleep mode" in about one minute then that indcates also a
low battery charge.
