I think the last time for me was 1962. Temperature -37F, I had to get to
work , and the starter wouldn't even budge the engine. I couldn't crank the
engine fast enough to fire, but I did eventually get it loosened up enough
for the starter and battery to take over. When the engine had warmed up a
bit, I gunned it to get out of my uphill driveway through a foot of new
snow. The TC promptly shot across the road and buried its nose in a snowbank
because the Bishops Cam steering box had frozen solid.
