SUGGEST YOU PULL OUT THE PROBE AND MAKE SURE IT IS NOT GUNKED UP BEFORE YOU
SEND THE GAUGE OUT FOR REPAIR.

THE RED LIGHT SHOULD BE ON AT IDLE. DOES IT GO OUT WHEN YOU INCREASE THE
RPM?

THE OLD VALVE SEATS WILL ERODE WITH TIME WITH UNLEADED FUEL. THE NUMBER OF
MILES WE DRIVE THESE CARS A YEAR IS LOW, HOWEVER, SO IT MAY BE SEVERAL YEARS
BEFORE A PROBLEM OCCURS. JUST MAKE SURE THE VALVES STAY PROPERLY ADJUSTED.
THE BEST LONG TERM SOULUTION IS HARDENED VALVE SEATS.
IF IT WERE LEGAL, AN OCCASIONAL GALLON OF AVIATION FUEL (WHICH IS LEADED)
WOULD COAT THINGS AND PREVENT EROSION. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS APPROACH,
HOWEVER, SINCE THE EPA MAY HAVE YOU THROWN IN THE SLAMMER!
