WKF Woods book Super tuning the XPAG engine lists the advance for
the DKY4A distributor as as 6.5 degrees at 1000 rpm. The advance
starts out as 2 1/2 degrees at 500 RPM and advances in a straight
line to 14 degrees at 2000. At that point the rate of rise
decreases and a full advance of 15 degrees occurs at 2600 rpm.
If you know your geometry, plot the following coordinates: (2.5,
500) (6.5, 1000) (10.25, 1500) (14, 2000) (14.7, 2500) (15, 2600)
(15,3000) (15, 4000). You will get bent straight line segments
with the bends occuring at (14, 2000) and (15, 2600).
For the D2A4, it is difficult to figure out which curve is being
referenced. It appears it should be (1, 520) (6, 975) (11, 2000)
(12, 2200) (12, 2500) (12, 3000) (12, 4000)
