While the engine of my 51 MGTD MkII is out of the car for complete
rebuilt, does anyone know what color the oil pan should be painted? It
is presently bare aluminum, but I don't know if the restorer twenty
years ago just didn't paint it or should it not be painted. If it is to
be painted, I would be interested in the reference. I have a list of
paint schemes for just about everything, but no oil pan is listed.
Perhaps it is call something different in British terminology.
