I think Lewis is on the right track by citing the return vent as a possible
problem.  I would check the Master Cylinder Rod adjustment (in the pedal box
under the floorboards).  If you have little or no free play on the brake
pedal, the master cylinder piston and seal can't return far enough to
uncover the return vent, so after applying the brakes once or twice there is
no bleed-off of pressure.  This will lock one, some, or all of your brakes.
Before you do anything major, like changing out fluid or removing hoses, I'd
check the adjustment.
