Chris, I have not come across one accelerator pedal that is not brazed as well as pined onto the shaft, so just removing the pin is not sufficient to remove it from the shaft Peter. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Metcalf" <mgtom@zoominternet.net> To: "Chris Bucknell" <c.bucknell@bigpond.com>; "'MMM List'" <mg-mmm@autox.team.net> Sent: Sunday, March 05, 2006 1:02 AM Subject: Re: Accelerator Pedal Pinning You're right, Chris, it's simply pinned. I file both ends of the peened pin until there is a clear end of pin outlined against the casting. I guess the pin is probably tapered but I'll be danged if I can tell for sure - it's too short. But after cleaning both ends with a file you can start delicately tapping the end with a small drive punch and hammer. /// unsubscribe/change address requests to majordomo@autox.team.net or try /// http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// http://www.team.net/mailman/listinfo /// Archives at http://www.team.net/archive/mg-mmm /// Send list postings to mg-mmm@autox.team.net |
