Terry,
I've never had to balance a drum (never even thought about it) but couldn't
you use stick-on weights on the drum itself? How bad is it? With the brakes
backed off I would imagine you could let the drum rotate and add weights
until it doesn't stop in any single spot when rotated.
Cheers,
Lew Palmer

Subject: MMM wheel/brake drum balance
Learned MMM'ers.....the right front brake drum on my N type 12" drum is
decidedly out of balance. Its not the wheel but the drum itself. Is this
common
and something to worry about? I presume I can use weights on the wheel to
balance the whole assembly. I pulled the drum off yesterday to take a look
and
its hard to imagine how the drum could be machined to obtain balance........
