Hi Lew, No public road available in Japan to have race of course. On the public road, it is sports car, and on the circuit, it is racing car. So I got MOT and I use pump petrol. The problem on the public road is the water soon boiling while in the heavy traffic except winter! Theoretical CR after 8psi supercharging is about 8.6, and could win a couple of Vintage Car Races recently, using ordinary pump petrol. It has my own special lightweight pistons and can rev up till 7000rpm. It produces about 60bhp I hope - rather optimistic, but it is actually enough for 1060lb dry weight road/racing J2771 with ENV box on public road. If you want I can send calculation chart of S/Ced compression ratio. Having recently stripped a few teeth from the crown wheel and pinion during the hill climb at the NAT Meet I am taking the opportunity as car is off road to have the engine rebuild as the compression was very low. regards ross J3763 tight lines and corners /// unsubscribe/change address requests to majordomo@autox.team.net or try /// http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// http://www.team.net/mailman/listinfo /// Archives at http://www.team.net/archive/mg-mmm /// Send list postings to mg-mmm@autox.team.net |
