Hi Terry,
I have a photocopy of the MG Car Co's "Detailed description of the J4
and J5 M.G. Midgets and the K3 MG M.G. Magnette Racing Models" in front
of me.
Its 8 pages includes 4 pages of detailed specs.
I believe I also have a flawless copy of the original which I got from
???? (old age!) years ago when he made copies of these sort of things
for the Triple M Register in the U.K. I'll look for it.
In brief the J4 was supercharged, the J5 was not. Either one was offered
with either the "straightforward gearbox" or the "pre-selective close
ratio racing type gearbox".
Larry Long,
Wd you like me to make 8 JPGs of the near-original if I have one, or
failing that, of the fairly decent photocopy? I can also SEND you one of
my two photocopies.
Cheers ..... Pat
