Terry,

I have the opposite experience. I shipped a basketcase MGA to the Netherlands
via container ship. Customs was no problem - provided a bill of sale and title
for the car. They approved it and I trailered it to the container company -
helped shove it into the container - blocked the wheels - and left. It made it
safely with all the parts still packed in the trunk and drivers/passengers seat
areas.

Good luck to him,
Gene

Has anyone any experience doing this? I have a friend who wants to import a
Triumph Gloria into Houston then get it to Aspen. The car is partially
disassembled so it has to come in a secure container
with a lot of loose and otherwise irreplacable parts - like the wings-
packed along side the chassis which at the moment has the engine and running
gear and primary body.

I guess he could get it from Houston to Aspen on a trailer but he needs help
with the customs and shipping etc.

Any suggestions appreciated....
Cheers
