Gentlemen,
In rebuilding my firewall, I have reached the reserve petrol switch/valve.
Thanks to Bob Rich, it's all shiny and sports a new Teflon seal. However, when
attaching to the fire wall via the z-shaped bracket, I appear to be missing a
fixing nut.
On the end of the valve, opposite the actuating rod, is a threaded post which
passes thru a hole in the mounting bracket and holds the vale in place
against the firewall. It appears to require a nut of some kind ... an acorn nut
perhaps?
According to my German thread gauge, the thread is 18G 5/16.
Can someone identify the thread's common name and describe or supply a
picture of the correct fixing nut? I've got a bunch of "under the bonnet"
photos,
but no close-up of the petrol valve.
Thanks
Don B.
