Hi all,
7/37 diffs come out of the Morris Eight Series1& 2 cars. They also
used 9/43 ratios in the Post office vans.
Most Morris's had ally housings, most were 6 bolt fixing. To confuse it
further Wolseley used the same diff housing but always in cast iron.
Wolseley used 8 bolt crown wheels with ratios 8/42; 8/41 in the 4 cylinder
'Nine'; 8/39; 9/41; in the 6 cylinder 'Hornet'. Currently many 'Hornet
Special' owners use 9/38 (newly made) to give better mpg & higher top speed.
My supercharged Hornet uses a 10/39.
