Hi Terry,
yes I think 1:4.3 really is to high geared for a MMM-car,
even when the car has a blower.
Everything higher than 4.5 results in a loss of liveliness,
and quick starting from standstill is hard for the clutch.

Gerhard, back in the 40's some previous owner replace the entire center
section of my diff (there is another NA here that has the same mod) with the
diff from a mid-30's Willys-Overland. This is a robust diff being from a
large car and was in good condition. I just replace the bearings as a
precaution....but the ratio is: 4.300
Whats your opinion on how the NA engine will pull through this??
Cheers,
Terry
