Lew, the MG medallion is attatched to a sheet metal plate that fits into the
crank hole and is hinged on the top. You may still have this piece. Further, a
spring steel piece is attached to the medallion stud that bends around to the
sides of the crank hole. Your crank hole sides have small dimples and the steel
piece has dimples that register and kind of lock it in - more or less. It's all
very simple but perhaps easier to to draw a picture than describe! tommm
