Basically the rule is the same as it was before, with regard to where
you use safety film, but you now have to have film on both sides.
Make it easier to clean up off the salt I understand.

I think it just means that anyplace you have glass (i.e., tempered
glass)
but it isn't laminated glass (e.g., windshields), THEN you have to use
the
plastic security film on each side.
