In the 90's the SCTA listed the LSA (Land Speed Authority) classifications
for Body Group, Engine Catagories, and Engine sizes. In Body Group #1 had no
restrictions, Group #2 Open Wheel ( 2 sentances appears the same as a
current lakester) and Group #3 Stock Body (Sedans and Pickups) (11 sentences
follows the SCTA production body rules pretty closely with addition of any
engine, transmission and rear end, an engine set back is allowed. and
vehicle must be documented.)
May or may not have followed FIA rules. I don't remember when it died
out...I would contact Mike Cook
