I agree with Lic elsewhere when possible... thou many folks would think it's elitist and poo poo us for it... The whole gig is that we're looking at the big picture of this and not looking at what the actual problems are, which is to many vehicles on 2 courses... or at least that's my opinion. It isn't about running them faster... ( which I'd always be for )... it's about not having enough time in a day to handle the masses.... So my question would be at this point... How many runs per day is reasonable to expect and what would you like to do if you could? The Warm up area was only in effect for 2 meets I attended on the salt... but my understanding is that we quit it because it was more of a liablity then an asset. If you could set a record in say a short course... ( in other words there is no excuse for not funding the correct timing equipment for it ) Why would you Not use it? And we could stiffen the requirements for the long course or simply have 2 long courses if that is where the problem is... and then divide the people needing a short course to 2 different courses ....
