A friend of mine raced a modified stockcar in our area in the late 50's and also crewed at the Indy 500 . Marshall Teague who drove at Indy during that period still had his 308 Hudson motors from when he ran NASCAR in the early 50's and offered to sell them to my friend . He claimed his well developed Hornet motors would outrun a contemporary 283 Chevy . John Burk |
