Hi Dick
I have soldered aluminum with the aluminum "sticks" and it works incredibly
well for very thin material, like a beer can! And we all know how often we
have to weld up a leaky beer can! LOL Propane torch is all you need. No flux
needed. It adheres like any solder, without any penetration.
I'd never use it structurally but for fixing leaks in aluminum radiators or
tanks it works OK.
There's nothing like a Tig for aluminum but for some applications for
someone that doesn't have a Tig, soldering is a viable alternative.
