Jon Take it to someone who welds 8 hours a day every day. Make sure weld area is spotlesy clean and a good gapless fit. You will be happy. I think you will find that no welder that costs less than a grand will handle Aluminum. I have a little portable miller, but it is somewhat limited with an air cooled torch, but I have a pro do my critical finish welding and all the aluminum. Wait till you can buy a real TIG welder if you will be using it a lot and/or lots of alum. Rick |
