Your suggestion has merit, but the rules already require the bottles to be
vented to the outside the car. The bottles are the strongest part of the
system. Lines have to be in the engine compartment and I would consider the
lines to be the weakest link. However, having said that, my bottles are a
long way from the engine.

I saw the pictures and read Jons report at the time of the incident. I agree
the bottles must be located outside the drivers compartment as the rule book
now states. I also think the engine bay is a poor location. I do not like
more regulation, but I think the NOS bottles must be isolated from the
engine bay as well as the driver for the driver and course workers safety.
