The turbo on our streamliner stayed clean for four years of Speedweek
and WOS. The first year the EGT was just below 1,600 F.

I used a Group 4 oil and made sure we had oil pressure.
My exhaust came straight out the side of the car so that I could use
a piece of 3/8 hardwood dowel to keep the turbine from spinning
until we had full oil pressure. Normal people just crank the motor
with the ignition off.....

Plan well and go fast,
