Mickey's Innovative Dragsters

Mickey Thompson also ran a Dragmaster with a cut in half Tempest (half of a
half of a Pontiac) . I was at the Indy Nationals in 1962 when Mickey showed up
with 3 hemi Pontiac dragsters . Jack Christman won with one of them beating
Garlits' wedge Dodge dragster in the final round . In 63 Mickey came back with
the same dragsters but with wedge Fords and must have made 20 runs between
them unsuccesfully looking for a combination .
