Due to the usual suspects causing my not attending Maxton this weekend, I
looked inward for consolation or an alternative to these situations. The
following is why necessity IS the mother of invention.
I had a brainstorm last night in the shower, where all my best ideas come
from. I wonder if it's feasible to have a portable web-cam just for special
events like Maxton. Like something small-scale enough for groups like ours,
that we
could send out live on the net, and record for posterity. It would be great
for the members that can't afford, either financially or time-wise, to do
Bonneville or El Mirage. It need not be high resolution, high bucks, or even
color,
just a fix for the speed junkies that could sit in their lazy boy and watch
everybody else play. Maybe set it up at the driver's meeting, then a walk
around the pits, and mostly point it at the fat part of the track, and make
sure
the sound picked up the track announcements. I know of different devices that
can do separate aspects of this, my question is can they be hooked-up virtually
wireless and live?
Come on Computer/Camera,'Lectronic minds, talk it up !!!!
