Hi Bryan.
Not really, a sailplane got the cone effect and works like an
arrow. The Nt III is also a little bit from the back bouncing airflow
disturb so the air goes also over the body. What the different on
Jacks car makes, is the flat, very close to the ground moving body and
the nearly no turbelence producing, covered, wheels. The rotating
wheels are one of the reason for this back bouncing airflow.So, Jacks
car is a exception. The NT III nose split the air but it produced a
very smooth (half) cone over the car, which produce downforce in the
area of the windshield - the NT II more than the NT III.
