Bryan, over 50 years ago Rollie Free and Marty Dickerson set Bonneville records on their Vincents using 10w oil, when the factory specified 50w. These were ball and roller bearing engines. Marty told me Rollie told him to do it, Rollie had found it reduced internal drag years before, and gave more speed. Bill |
