The only reason there has be a proliferation--(a good word)is that the new
technology made the old non-competitive--now if we didn't have all the new
classes we wouldn't have to worry about min. -- we would just be breaking the
old records and there wouldn't be a six hour wait in line.
Because who would want to try to make a H-D try to run A 'Busa---nearly same
displacement--nearly 100 MPH. difference in speed.---wmts
PS if you really wanted to protect the integrity of the "EFFORT" just don't
let anyone bump their own record with the same car. ---I wonder how many that
would drop out 50-100????
